Letter from our Executive Director

Dear CalPac Families,

As we come to the close of the 2020-2021 school year, we want to thank you for the opportunity to educate your children.  We have truly enjoyed serving your students throughout what has been an unpredictable year.  CalPac is proud to have offered a rigorous, supportive virtual school with teachers and staff who are trained to provide the very best virtual classroom experience.  We are very proud of the academic achievement made by our wonderful students!  We have over 150 students in the Class of 2021, and we cannot wait to celebrate with each of them at one of our four graduation ceremonies—virtually and in person.

We are happy to report that over 95% of CalPac students in grades 3-8 and 11 completed mandatory California State testing to show off what they learned this year.  Testing is an important way that CalPac’s success is measured by the state, and we very much appreciate all our wonderful students who “Climbed Mount CAASPP” with us this year!  We will be analyzing student achievement data to prepare for the 2021-2022 school year to offer even more educational opportunities to support learning growth.

With summer around the corner, please do not forget about CalPac’s Summer Bridge program for students who want to participate in educational activities for the month of July.  Students currently in grades K-7 will continue in their Edmentum individual learning path with the support of a teacher.  Students in 8th grade who have been recommended by their math teacher have the opportunity to complete an Algebra Readiness course to prepare for 9th grade Algebra 1.  Students who are credit deficient or need to make up a D or F can do credit recovery in the month of July.  Please talk to your homeroom teacher or counselor if you are interested in our Summer Bridge program.

Lastly, as we finalize this school year, it is time to think about next year.  In order to guarantee your spot for next school year, families must complete the reenrollment process by June 15th, 2021.  We anticipate increased enrollment next year as more families consider distance learning as their preferred educational option.  Please call the office if you have any questions about enrollment.

Thank you for choosing CalPac, and we will “see” you next year!

Sincerely,

Christine Feher

Executive Director
