How to Stay Motivated and Maintain Positive to Reach Personal Goals

By Ms. Alice Pak

April is winding down and here comes May. Less than 30 days left of school and with Covid-19 that disrupted our lives from normalcy, I want to encourage all CALPAC students to stay motivated and positive until the end of our Spring Semester.

This is my 11th year at CALPAC and this year has been the most special year. Our school has grown tremendously. We have doubled our enrollment and saw incredible growth in our school. For our CALPAC students, the routine has been established and our students have shown the ability to take accountability of their learning and been diligent in their studies by logging in daily and chipping away at their workload. I have witnessed wonderful growth in students’ willingness to achieve above and beyond.

Now, there are moments where we slow down. It is okay sometimes to have a day where you fall a little short. The important thing is to recover from that specific day you fell short and get back into your studies. The motivation that we find in ourselves is priceless. If you need the push, no fear! Our wonderful teachers and staff are here to give you the encouragement you need to get through the hard times. We meet with you, call, text, and email to work out a plan to get you back on pace or give you the best advice to allow you to tackle any challenges that you see.

To reach your goals whether they are academic or personal, always strive with excellence and don’t be afraid to ask for help anytime. Students here at CALPAC have amazing support! So even if you feel like you are falling behind, remember that you have an amazing group of teachers that will try their best to get you out of your lowest moment. So, with less than 30 days of school left, ask yourself what can you do NOW to accomplish the things you were set out to do before this school year comes to a close. Let’s make the most of the 2019-2020 school year. I believe in you, CALPAC teachers believe in you, but most importantly, make sure to believe in yourself! Let’s GO!!
